  • 200 g whole raw cashew nuts (unsalted)
  • 60 g butter
  • A handful of ripped fresh rosemary
  • Good grindings of NoMU African Heat
  • NoMU Just Salt Grinder

 

 

Home roasted and salted cashew nuts

The roasting process brings out the rich aroma and taste of the nuts. A perfect snack or ingredient for savoury dishes!

Preheat the oven to 180°C

Roast the cashew nuts in the oven on a baking tray for about 20 minutes or until they are a beautiful golden colour. Take care not to burn them! Remove the nuts from the oven.

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the rosemary, African Heat and salt and fry for a minute or 2. Add the nuts and toss well to make sure that all the nuts are well coated in the delicious flavoured butter. Taste the nuts and season with some more African Heat or salt if needed.

Drain any excess butter and serve the nuts in a beautiful bowl as a snack or sprinkle over a salad
