  • 800g extra lean beef mince
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp NoMU Beef Rub
  • 3 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 3 tbsp HP(BBQ) Sauce
  • 1 tsp NoMU Just Salt
  • sunflower oil for frying
  • 20 thick wooden skewers cut in half to make forty

 

Demolition Balls


Combine all the ingredients, except for the oil, into a large mixing bowl and using your hands mix them together until well combined. Grab a small amount of mixture in your hand and roll into a small ball. The meatball should have a diameter of about 3cm.

Heat your oil in a pan. Lightly brown all sides of the meatball taking care not to burn it. Place the balls on a baking tray and insert the sticks into the centre of each ball. Bake the balls in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes, turning them  halfway to ensure even cooking.

Serve immediately in a creative way like we have done inside a builder’s hard hat.
