Coffee Rub

This new RUB blend has a deeply aromatic coffee and spice note designed to add intrigue, flavour and a subtle complexity to your dishes. Like all NoMU RUBS, this blend is also very versatile and can be used in a huge array of meal and recipe ideas. Rub onto meat or chicken before roasting, frying, BBQ’ing, smoking or grilling. It’s dark roasted espresso beans add an irresistible richness to your flavour, making this blend perfect for steaks, chops or fillets cooked over the coals.

How To

tracy's tips

  • Rub generously into medallions of fillet of beef. Pan-fry to caramelise and seal on all sides before placing in a pre-heated oven (180°C) until cooked to your preference.
  • Stir 2 tbsp of Coffee Rub into 125g softened butter. Using clingfilm, shape into a log and refrigerate until set. Serve slices of flavoured butter on just-cooked steaks allowing the rich flavour to melt into the meat.
  • Combine with olive oil and honey to create a robust glaze for pork, lamb or beef ribs.
